Noon to 2 pm Discover Mary Crathorne\, the bold widow who turned chocolate-making into Philadelphia’s first woman-run chocolate business.\nJune 20 – Meet Ned Hector\, Revolutionary War Hero: Explore the story of Ned Hector\, a free Black teamster whose bravery at Brandywine is shared through a costumed presentation.\nJune 27 – Bees Wax and Candle Making 10 am to 2 pm: Join Lauren from Pine Barrens Post for an educational look at traditional beeswax candle making. Learn about the process\, then try your hand at candledipping in a handson session.\nJune 27 – Meet George Washington and Betsy Ross at Kings Court from 11 am to 2 pm!\nJuly 4 – No Events\nJuly 11 & 12 – Haddonfield Fine Arts & Crafts Festival\nJuly 18 – 10 am to 2 pm Discover Revolutionary? Era fashion with First State Heritage Park. Interpreters from Dover\, DE\, share the clothing\, layering\, and construction techniques that shaped the period’s iconic silhouettes. All garments are high Quality reproductions and can be handled for a true hands-on experience.\nJuly 25 – The Sea Dogs\, 10 am to 2 pm: Set sail with The Sea Dogs! This New Jersey pirate/privateer band performs energetic sea shanties and nautical songs\, delivering a fun\, interactive show for all ages.\nAugust 1 – Make Ice Cream the 18th?Century Way. 10 am to 2 pm: Watch an 18th?century ice cream recipe come to life using a reproduction pewter sabotiere\, then help prepare the ice\, turn the sabotiere\, and enjoy a small taste.\nAugust 8 – Punch and Judy Puppet Shows with Professor Horn: Professor Horn will be in King’s Court for three Punch & Judy shows. His shows are known to incite gales of laughter from audiences of all ages. Whereas youngsters adore the amazing feats of legerdemain\, slapstick comedy\, and variety entertainment\, parents cannot resist the nostalgic excitement this quintessential attraction evokes from their own childhoods. The Haddonfield Sidewalk Sale is happening too.\nAugust 15 – August 15 – Art of Papermaking: Experience the craft of traditional papermaking with the team from Historic RittenhouseTown. Through live demonstrations and guided\, handson activities\, visitors learn each step of the process before making their own unique piece of paper. A fun\, familyfriendly activity perfect for all ages.\nAugust 22 – Robert Mouland’s Dancing Puppets 10 am to 2 pm: Step back into the 18th century with master musician Robert Mouland\, who brings early American history to life through period instruments and dancing historic puppets.\nAugust 29 – Meet Ben Franklin in King’s Court! 10 am to 2 pm: Through a dynamic costumed performance\, Franklin reflects on his early life\, scientific experiments\, diplomatic achievements\, and the ideas that helped shape a new nation. A familyfriendly program filled with humor\, history\, and inspiration.\nSeptember 5 – Beeswax Candle Making: Join Lauren from Pine Barrens Post for an educational look at traditional beeswax candle making.
