The Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Trust is a nonprofit public/private outdoor educational art initiative bringing traditional and contemporary works by noted sculptors to the downtown district, some permanent and some temporary. In addition to more than two dozen sculptures currently in place, new installations are always on the horizon. Several sculptures have been purchased by residents and donated to the Borough of Haddonfield on a permanent basis. Many others are on loan or lease from the artist, and are available for purchase for private or public use. The sculptures create an ever-evolving Instagram and selfie-friendly outdoor gallery. A top attraction is the Children’s Sculpture Zoo at Kings Highway East and Evergreen Lane, featuring a life-size bronze giraffe, bunny rabbit, toad and sea lion for kids to play on, and socially-distanced benches in a garden setting. HOST is a 100% volunteer community-based, tax-exempt 501(c)3 and receives no public funds. Visit online at www.HaddonfieldSculpture.org, take a self-guided walking tour, and post your favorites to social media.
The Downtown is adhering to state guidelines by requiring visitors to wear masks indoors, not only for their safety but for the safety of others around them. Masks should also be worn outdoors when six feet of social distance cannot be practiced. Social distancing should be maintained between visitors wherever possible, and hand sanitizing protocols should be practiced.
