The Haddon Fortnightly is thrilled that Inkwood Books has been selected to host Martha Hall Kelly, author of the NY Times bestseller, Lilac Girls, for the release of the paperback of the prequel, Lost Roses, on March 5 at 7:00 pm at The Haddon Fortnightly, 301 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, New Jersey. Admission is $20 per person, and includes a copy of the book! Please join us for this exciting evening with a bestselling author.

Ash Wednesday Service – 2/26
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 26. We will gather at 7 PM for a Service of Ashes to remember how, even in the midst of our humanity and mortality, God meets us with grace and life. Join us as we worship together to mark the beginning of the Lenten season.
Bereavement Support Group – Begins 3/3
Haddonfield UMC will host an interdenominational Bereavement Support Group, led by Rev. Kathleen Morris, a certified Bereavement Counselor and spiritual director. All are welcome, especially those who have experienced a loss in the last 3 years. The group will begin on March 3 from 7-8 pm in Felten Parlor and ends on April 21. Your Saving Grace Child Care Night – 3/6
Your Saving Grace, an evening child care program, is March 6 from 6-9 PM. Enjoy a night out while your children have fun with friends under the supervision of experienced caregivers. This month, join us for our grilled cheese bar (vegan variation available)! Children are offered a wide selection of ingredients to make personalized grilled cheese sandwiches. Salad and fresh fruit served with whipped cream and chocolate chips will also be provided. The cost is $20 for the first child and each additional child from the same family is a reduced rate. Disabilities Task Force St. Patrick’s Day Party – 3/15
The Disabilities Task Force is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party on Sunday, March 15 from 1-3 PM in Fellowship Hall. There will be cupcake decorating and games, along with Irish music. Attendees are encouraged to wear green to celebrate the day! This sensory-friendly event is for children ages 8 and up. Haddonfield Choir & Hymn Festival – 3/22
On March 22, be sure to attend the annual Haddonfield Choir & Hymn Festival, which HUMC is hosting again this year! This uplifting and unifying event brings together choirs and directors from Haddonfield churches in a celebration of beautiful choral and congregational singing, with moving anthems and inspiring hymns. Adult and children’s choirs and directors will participate from five Haddonfield churches and will sing several numbers on their own and then combine in an anthem. There will be a free-will offering taken during the event. The program begins at 4 pm in the Sanctuary.
MasterChorale Concert – 4/19
Don’t miss the New Jersey MasterChorale’s Sunday, April 19 performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah! The concert will take place at 7:30 pm. Free tickets are available starting March 19 through the church office, 856-429-0403 or firstname.lastname@example.org. A minimum $25 donation is suggested to help offset expenses. The ladies of the Haddon Fortnightly Evening Membership Department are making poppies for Haddonfield Project Poppy, a public art installation starting on Memorial Day 2020 until Independence Day 2020. 3,837 poppies will cascade from the left corner of the Haddonfield Memorial High School to the grounds of Veterans Memorial Grove.
